Quality: The Cornerstone of PolyStar's Operations
At PolyStar, quality isn’t just a word – it’s the foundation upon which our entire company is built. Our motto, “We pride ourselves in quality”, reflects our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional products that meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.
From the selection of premium raw materials to the meticulous execution of our manufacturing processes, quality is woven into every step. Our state-of-the-art European machinery, operated by highly skilled and experienced professionals, ensures precision and consistency in every
product we create.

Our Comprehensive Quality Testing Procedures
Rigorous quality control measures are implemented throughout the production cycle, including testing in our fully equipped on-site quality control center. We employ a range of quality control measures to ensure that our woven polypropylene products meet the highest industry
standards and perform reliably in their intended applications.
Two key elements of our quality control processes are tensile strength testing and UV accelerated weathering testing:

Tensile Strength Testing
Tensile strength is a critical measure of a fabric’s ability to withstand pulling forces without breaking. At PolyStar, we conduct regular tensile strength tests on our fabrics using specialised equipment. These tests measure the maximum force a fabric can withstand before it tears or breaks, providing crucial data about its durability and suitability for various applications.
By consistently monitoring tensile strength, we ensure that our products meet and exceed the required performance criteria and can withstand the stresses they will encounter in real-world use. This testing is vital for applications like bulk bags, where the fabric must be able to safely hold significant weight.

UV Accelerated Weathering Tester
Exposure to sunlight and other environmental factors can degrade the properties of polypropylene over time. To assess the long-term durability of our fabrics, we conduct UV accelerated weathering tests. These tests simulate the effects of prolonged sun exposure by exposing the fabric to intense ultraviolet radiation in a controlled environment.
By accelerating the weathering process, we can quickly evaluate the fabric’s resistance to UV degradation, including fading, brittleness, and loss of strength. This testing allows us to ensure that our products maintain their quality and performance even after extended exposure to the elements, which is especially important for outdoor applications.

Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container (FIBC) Test Machine
We utilise a state-of-the-art, fully automatic FIBC Test Machine to guarantee the strength and reliability of our bulk bags. This advanced equipment measures the resistance of our FIBCs to forces applied by a hydraulic cylinder, simulating real-world handling and transportation conditions.
The bags are filled with granules from an upper silo via a discharge hose, and precise measurements are captured by load cells under computer and PLC control. This rigorous testing allows us to perform several critical evaluations, including breaking tests to determine ultimate strength, UN testing to meet international safety standards, and industry- standard weight tests.
Specifically, we conduct 5:1 tests for single-use bags, 6:1 tests for multi-use bags under normal demand, and 8:1 tests for multi-use bags designed for heavy-duty applications. These comprehensive quality control measures ensure that every PolyStar FIBC meets our stringent standards and delivers exceptional performance and safety for our customers.
